Timberline Landscaping Recognized as Corporate Donor of the Year for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado in Support of Families in Need

Local Colorado Springs landscaping company, Timberline Landscaping, was honored to receive the Donor of the Year for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado (RMHC) at their annual appreciation dinner.

Timberline Landscaping donated snow removal services, the design and landscaping of the back yard at the new RMHC location, as well as maintenance services to support their mission of keeping families with sick children together.

“We want to give back to the Ronald McDonald House because we’ve had a couple of family members who’ve spent time with the RMHC, unfortunately, and we’ve lost a couple of young ones along the way. We want to give back,” said Tim Emick, owner of Timberline Landscaping.

The landscape design was inspired by Neil Emick and his desire to provide an area of peace and respite to families staying at the RMHC. After spending time at the Denver House and experiencing the loss of his own daughter (Presley Raye Emick), Neil understood the value of an outdoor space. Timberline’s existing relationship with the RMH Charities and desire to give back and donate landscape services provided Neil and wife Rinda an opportunity to design and help create a much-needed space.

Rinda has gone on to create Presley’s Purpose to honor Presley Raye Emick and to encourage NICU parents to take some time for themselves and relieve some of the stress of the hospital life. Presley was diagnosed with a rare lung condition and unfortunately only lived 4 ½ months, but her legacy lives on through Presley’s Purpose and impacts so many.

“We couldn’t be more grateful for the Ronald McDonald House and its mission to give and to teach others to give,” said Neil.

Timberline is honored to give back to the RMCH and Presley’s Purpose through landscaping donations.
